How a Donegal team saw Brexit at 52–48
ContactCentre.ie completed about 100,000 short Brexit surveys and its calls showed the final 52–48 split.
The betting and much of the public conversation pointed elsewhere. Our Brexit calls showed 52–48, exactly where the vote finished.
About 100,000 answers
The survey was only about two minutes and people were intensely engaged. At times an agent completed around 18 surveys an hour. Across the project we estimate that we completed about 100,000 interviews.
The questions were quick and current
Which way are you going? Who did you vote for last time? Which social-media adverts are you seeing? The short shape let a very large number of people answer without turning the call into a burden.
Regional voices mattered
On one major UK political research programme, thirteen call centres began and only two remained: the client's London operation and us. Their centre covered London; our Donegal callers covered the rest of Britain and Northern Ireland. People across the North of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland wanted to speak to them.
