KEEPING OUR WORD

Keeping my word can cost me money
When an honestly described survey took twice as long as quoted, ContactCentre.ie kept the agreed price and completed the work.
About one campaign in five may cost me a little margin. I care more about making good on my word than squeezing every job.
A ten-minute quote became twenty minutes
One struggling client asked us to quote an important survey. The survey was described as ten minutes but proved to be about twenty. That cut the amount an agent could complete in an hour roughly in half.
They had been honest with me
I kept the original price and lost about €300. It was not a grand sacrifice; we were quiet and the work paid something. What mattered was that the client told me the truth and had always paid, even if payment was slow.
Trust works both ways
The company later went out of business, but every amount owed to us was paid. A business relationship is not built by treating every small difficulty as a chance to rewrite the deal.
